1950's TO PRESENT By the 1950s the city started accepting standard Rensselaer L-90-A 3-way hydrants with 4" steamer outlets. From this point forward conventional design dry barrel hydrants were the city's standard specification. |
| The L-90-A appeared in the late 1940s and was superseded by the L-90-B in the 1960s. A number of L-90-A hydrants were installed with 4½" steamer outlets in territories which were later annexed into the city. Adapter rings were affixed to the steamer nozzles to conform them into Stockton's 4" standard. |

In the 1970s Pacific States Iron Works was awarded Stockton's hydrant contracts. Two versions were purchased, this one dates from 1976. |

In the 1990s the City started purchasing Kennedy model K81A hydrants which are still the standard today. |
