Greetings,

I have a TCIW (Traverse City Iron Works) hydrant that I restored this fall. The unit came from the site of the old University Village Apartments at Michigan State University during a major demolition and reconstruction of the apartment units that began in the Spring 2006 and is still ongoing. As the Manager of Consrtuction and Design for the University, I was able to save this one hydrant; the other dozen or so on the site went for scrap before I arrived. They were all identical. As you can see from the enclosed photo, it was manufactured in 1955. The salvaged unit occupies a place of honor in front of my pole barn. I have enclosed a few pictures for your archives.
